Liquid Air Headquarters: Walnut Creek California
National Headquarters for Multinational Company
SITUATION
Liquid Air Corporation, a French owned company, was establishing their United States headquarters in Walnut Creek. The corporation was going through a major reorganization and improvements of its existing space and wanted to phase the work over a period of several years. The project also included the need for an inviting reception area that projected a professional corporate image.
ACTION
We worked with the client’s facility manager to plan and phase the various projects. There was to be work on three floors of the building in most of their existing spaces. Some key areas of work were a new reception space, a boardroom, and a new training facility. We also worked with the client’s interior designer who specified all of the finishes and furniture in the spaces.
RESULT
Through teamwork between the client’s facilities manager, the interior designer, and our office, we were able to smoothly remodel the entire headquarters space. In the reception area we added wood finishes and planter boxes to add warmth to the space. The reception desk was designed to have a substantial and solid presence to give the impression of permanence. The training facility was designed as a multi-purpose space that could be divided in half to suit various meeting needs and included innovative audio-visual capabilities.
