Oakland Hills Addition and Deck: Oakland California

This project is located in the hills near the Oakland/Piedmont border. The client wanted to replace the existing decrepit deck and wanted to extend a small office room on this Mediterranean Style home built in the 1920's. We extended the room and added a new gable roof over the extended space. This also resolved the leaky roof condition that had persisted over many years. A large window was added to take advantage of the bay view. Brackets were added to give visual support for the room addition. The new supports for the new deck were given arches to tie into the existing house details
